This year you will want to come down early to enjoy some family fun.  TOUCH, Inc. will host Evening in the Park starting at 5pm.
Enjoy games, food and fun "Summer Social" style - bring your lawn chair and park it for the evening
At 6:00 pm the street closes and at 6:30 the Old Dam Band starts their evening concert at the east end of the Lock and Dam Park
The Friends of Newburgh will be selling hot dogs and hamburgers, Touch, Inc. will be selling barbeque, the American Legion Women's Auxilary will be selling their world famous baked goods

At 8:30 we will start the Independence Day presentations with a proclamation from the President of Town Council Tonya McGuire, the National Anthem will be sung by Wanda Kavanaugh
and the flag ceramony will be presented by American Legion Kapperman Post #44.

If you have never watched the ceremony part of the fireworks, I encourage you to do so.  It is a great way to emphasize to your kids what a great nation we live in.  July 4th is not just about fireworks...it is about Independence Day.

At 9pm, Historic Newburgh, Inc. will once again host our fabulous fireworks display.  There is nothing like the shimmer of lights that the fireworks create.... both in the sky and their reflection is the water.

The Historic Newburgh Fireworks display is fully funded by donations such as yours. Your donation....big or small, is appreciated! If you would like to donate on-line, click on the Paypal button below.
