 Xmas_eventthumbSaturday and Sunday on the first weekend in December is when Newburgh shows off their Victorian spirit.  Characters and Musicians stroll our streets dressed in period costume.  Visit Santa inside Newburgh Town Hall & try chestnuts roasted by the open fire!  Find the Elf Contest and Find the Candy Cane contest gives customers a chance to see and experience shops and restaurants they may never have been in.


Historic Newburgh Wine, Art and Jazz Festival presented by Evansville Living Magazine & T.R.U.-Event Rental, Inc.  This event features non-stop Jazz, wine by the glass or buy by the bottle to take home, food served all day and evening, art for sale and a view of the Ohio that just can’t be beat and will be the third weekend in May. 
Historic Newburgh Farmers Market Presented by Romain GMC  is more of a happening that just a farmers market.  Market opens Saturday of June 5th  and runs through August 21st. For all things Market visit their Newburgh Farmers Market website at
Historic Newburgh Winery Tour is an annual event that includes round trip transportation on an escorted motor coach, a light lunch, snacks & non-alcoholic beverages on the motor coach, and 4 winery stops with wine tasting & shopping along the way. Ghost Walks, each evening the third weekend in October,  features a 50 minute tour with guides sharing the spookier legends of Newburgh. Along the way you will meet ghosts from all ages to share stories of the past.  Take in one tour or both tours, it is a great family weekend outing.

Saturday, Sept 4, : Historic Newburgh Fireworks and Evening in the Park  – It’s an old fashion community Independence Day Celebration, complete with “summer social” type games, lots of food, and a community concert by the Old Dam Band.  This is a great way to teach your kids what it means to be an American.  This is how Newburgh celebrates Independence Day for the United States of America
HNI is excited to bring the Strawberry Social back to downtown Newburgh! Newburgh Presbyterian Church hosted an annual festival for many years in the past. plan to join us Saturday , June 5th between 11am – 2pm. for food booths, live music, games and activities. The Farmers Market kicks off the season that morning and there will also be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Allen Family Amphitheater. It is going to be a fun filled,family day in downtown Newburgh! All proceeds from this event will go towards beautification in downtown Newburgh.
